1. Who we are

moonies is a software-as-a-service product operated by HonestDev, a business registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce. Our full company details, including our registration and VAT numbers and registered address, are listed above.

You can reach us by email or phone using the contact details above, or through the contact form on our website. We aim to reply within two business days.

2. The service

moonies is the back office for a restaurant: a place to keep recipes, suppliers, agreements, ways of working and other operational knowledge, so a venue keeps running when key people are away. Which features you have depends on the modules you subscribe to and is described on our website.

moonies is a digital service. There are no physical goods, so nothing is shipped and there are no shipping or return policies for physical products. We may add, change or remove features as the product develops.

3. Your account

You need an account to use moonies. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.

You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to enter into this agreement on behalf of your business.

4. Plans, prices and currency

moonies is sold as a monthly subscription per location. Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing page. All prices are in euros (EUR) and, unless stated otherwise, are exclusive of VAT.

We may change our prices. If a change affects your running subscription, we will tell you in advance by email; the new price applies from your next billing period.

5. Payment and billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Mollie; we do not store your full card details ourselves.

By subscribing you authorise us to charge the recurring fee for your plan to your chosen payment method until you cancel. If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend access until the outstanding amount is paid.

6. Free trial and onboarding offer

We may offer a free trial period. At the end of the trial your subscription starts and the first payment is taken, unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Any introductory or onboarding offer, such as a free setup for the first venues, applies only as described on our website at the time you sign up.

7. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. After cancellation you keep access until that period ends, and you can export your data before you leave.

Because moonies is a paid business service billed per period, fees already paid for a started period are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. If we end your subscription without cause, we refund any prepaid period you cannot use.

8. Your data and content

The content you put into moonies, such as your recipes, agreements and lists, stays yours. You grant us only the permissions we need to run the service for you, and you can export your content at any time.

We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Acceptable use

Use moonies only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms. Do not misuse the service, try to break its security, resell it without our agreement, or upload content you do not have the rights to.

10. Availability

We work hard to keep moonies available and reliable, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable. We may carry out maintenance and will try to limit any disruption. The service is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for moonies in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or data, as far as the law allows.

12. Ending the agreement

You can stop using moonies and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or if we are required to by law.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Any dispute will be brought before the competent court in the district where we are established, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as moonies develops or the law changes. If a change is significant, we will let you know by email or in the app. By continuing to use moonies after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
