Built out of our own frustration.

I (Sanne) am in the middle of starting my own hospitality place. I doubted it for yeeeears, because I've seen what hospitality asks of people. So I thought: how can I make it easier? How can I build it so it's healthy for the people who work there, healthy as a business, with margins that add up? I want a place without burnout. Where time off is really time off, for me and for the team. And without time, money and energy leaking away into scattered information spread all over the place.

When I asked Thomas about it, he simply said he thought it was a fun challenge and that he could build it. :) So here's Moonies. And no, of course it isn't the golden solution to every challenge right away, but it can help.

And it turns out I'm not the only one. Other hospitality owners want it too. Less time wasted, healthy margins, colleagues who don't burn out, a day off that's really off, and less food going in the bin. So now we're sharing Moonies with everyone else.

Who we are

Sanne spent over fifteen years in hospitality, on the floor and as a manager, and is now opening her own place. She knows how it feels to get a call on a day off or late at night asking whether a dinner voucher is accepted.

Thomas is the technical founder of Breeze, the dating app that brings people to hospitality venues for their dates. He's been building honest, useful software and apps that actually work since he was young.
